Then stay at the Harn House just off Khao Sarn Rd. along the little Soi that runs behind Khao Sarn on the far end from the police station. The rooms are standard fare, nothing really special in that regard - prices vary between 100 Baht for a small room with fan and no window, to 500 Baht for a great little self-contained private room at the back with its own entrance. The very best thing about this place is the level of honesty employed by the owner/manager of this place. Her name is Sumana and she runs a safe and secure place. You can count on this woman's word being iron clad. The place is sometimes a little run down but Sumana makes up for any deficiencies with who she is and how she treats her guests.�?

Been on the drag for about 10 years, but they only opened up their front door to Khao San Road acouple of years ago. Nice place - clean and glitzy. The guesthouse offers rooms with a shower at 320 Baht a night, share a shower and you'll get a room for 240 Baht. It also has great Internet access with 14 computers offering English and Japanese fonts and ISDN connection. What's unique about this place? The only guesthouse offering Playstations to play your favorite games. You'd have to be pretty sad though, eh?

The staff have very rarely changed since 1999 (our first visit) and even after a year break from visiting they always remember us which gives us a feeling like we are part of there family. The accommodation is very inexpensive and as it has never really changed (apart from the eating area) it is how we will always remember Khao San Road. The staff are the most friendliest in the area and are always there to assist any problem whatsoever. "
