Hi,
Just a quick suggestion on a good guest
house right next to the Banglamphoo area.
It's called the Gipsy House (55-55/1 Phra
Sumen Rd.). The interior spaces of the
place are very Japaness like in that there
is a lot of teak wood flooring and a small
fountain courtyard. Most of the rooms
overlook a canal it is very peaceful and
relatively quiet. The people that stay
there seem more eco-minded and it is real
cheap.
Cool! That's the sort of advice we
are looking for...

I just got back from a Glorious Holiday
in Thailand. Stayed in Bangkok a total
of four nights. The first three nights
I stayed at a less than friendly guesthouse
and then went up to the Northern Country
(Chiang Mai's the place to be), anyway,
on my last night in Bangkok I decided
to splurge a little and spend the extra
200 Baht and stayed at The Sawasdee House
(not the Sawasdee Inn). It's right across
from the temple near Khao San. It was
utterly enjoyable. Get a single room with
a balcony and you wont regret it, just
be sure and lock your door as usual. The
food was great, service and people really
friendly. If you'd like to chat about
UP North drop me a line. Enjoy!
