Aurum
The River Place
|
|
Bangkok's
Riverside Boutique Hotel
|
| |
|
Aurum
The River Place is a genuine touch of class. Not
as near to Khao San Road as other accommodation
offered on KhaoSanRoad.com, but still near enough
(10 minute taxi ride - around 40-45 Baht - or
4 stops by regular public boat) for you to keep
in touch with what is happening on the strip.
|
| |
|
Aurum
has a firm focus - peace, quiet and excellent,
excellent rooms. Aurum does not have the bar,
club, or disco that other hotels might provide
to act as a distraction; it does though offer
a place you can genuinely call home while you
are in Thailand.
|
| |
|
Literally
a stone's throw from key tourist destinations,
Aurum is located right on the Chao Phraya River,
in a part of Bangkok called Tatien, home to one
of the oldest wholesale markets in Bangkok (from
where the area took its name). Aurum is right
next to a private pier and 5 minutes walk from
the public pier where you can pick up a public
boat that takes you effortlessly into Bangkok
center and back again (providing you return before
19:00 when the public boats stop!).
|
| |
| The
hotel is conveniently near the Grand Palace, National
Museum, and a 24-hour wholesale flower market. |
|
|
|
It is only 200 meters from Wat Pho, and 100 meters from
its Wat Pho massage school, and 1 kilometre from The Grand
Palace main entrance, and therefore
highly convenient for people looking for nice and comfortable
accommodation while taking Wat Pho's popular massage classes.
The hotel is directly opposite Wat Arun - Temple of the
Dawn - picture sunrises and sunsets, temple silhouettes
visible from Aurum's Roof Garden, and you picture the
type of accommodation Aurum offers you.

If
you are looking for a quiet, extremely comfortable place
to stay that is convenient for key tourist sites and located
where you can get a real sense of the old Bangkok, then
this is the place for you. Special rates are available
for people requiring longer stays.
