New Siam 1 is a nice, safe establishment with very friendly and helpful staff. The reception has a warm welcome for you. New and clean - white tiled floors, screens on all windows and balconies to keep the bugs out. Comfortable beds, TV with good movie channels, electronic lock safe – what more could you ask for? The restaurant has a good varied menu to choose from (Paad Thai is great here). Great central location that is good for shopping and easy to access the river taxi and buses. This is a simple budget guest house with a range of rooms including rooms for three people, a regular room for two people, and a small single room for one person. Rooms with fan or air-conditioning, private attached or shared bathrooms are also available. Restaurant, coffee bar and Internet cafe.

Been on the drag for about 10 years, but they only opened up their front door to Khao San Road acouple of years ago. Nice place - clean and glitzy. The guesthouse offers rooms with a shower at 320 Baht a night, share a shower and you'll get a room for 240 Baht. It also has great Internet access with 14 computers offering English and Japanese fonts and ISDN connection. What's unique about this place? The only guesthouse offering Playstations to play your favorite games. You'd have to be pretty sad though, eh?

Bella Bella Guesthouse is clean and reasonably priced and a popular place to stay. Air-conditioned and fan cooled rooms. They have friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. Located at the end of Soi Chana Songkhram behind the temple opposite Khao San Road. You can have a lot of fun with employees who work over there – real family atmosphere. Rooms are spotless and secure with efficient ceiling fans. The bathrooms too are regularly cleaned and modern in style. The guesthouse offers all the services that travellers could want - Internet access, storage facility, travel office and a good menu.
