Danny Hall - Update...

Anybody who has visited a travel website
over the last month or so is likely to have seen an item
about Danny Hall, a British citizen who went missing on
February 24th at the Full Moon Party on Koh Pha Ngan.
Despite the masses of coverage - which included an item
in Thailand's national press and coverage by the BBC -
there's been no word about his whereabouts. Roy an old
friend of Danny's, took it upon himself to visit Koh Pha
Ngan to see what the current state of play is down there.
We caught up with Roy after his visit and spoke to him.

Burma Cyclone...

The Burma cyclone is of course a human
tragedy of biblical proportions, but trying to express
the enormity of the issue in a newspaper column or through
the limited dimensions of a television screen is nearly
impossible. I recently received some images through the
post (don't know who they are from - but thanks) that
demonstrate clearly the size of the cyclone, and through
that you can get a feel for what must have happened on
the ground. Take a look at these incredible pictures of
the Burma
cyclone and make some donations at the organizations
listed.
Spider Day 4...

"On On. Then stopping again, I saw
a small temple and pulled in. I was minding my own business
taking photos of the Cheddi, when the local nut job walks
up. He wants to take a photo with my camera, no problem.
He eventually clicks the button and proves that he is
no David Baily. Then he asked me to take a photo of him.
I accepted." Catch up with spider on his motorbike
travels in Issan - day 4.

A Weekend in Nakhon Si Thammarat
and Surat Thani Provinces...
Surat
Thani is the biggest province in southern Thailand, covering
about 12,800 sq. kms. There are more than 100 islands
in the province; the largest and most well-known being
Koh Samui. Geographically, most of the area is covered
with forest and a high granite mountain range—the Tenasasarim
range on the western border of Thailand and the Nakhon
Si Thammarat range in the east. Numerous traces of ancient
civilizations exist in Surat Thani from the prehistoric
to late historic periods. Click here to find out more

Nana Plaza Inn - Under New
Management...

One of the KSR originals and somewhere that had a place
in KSR folklore, we were really sorry when we learned
that Nana Plaza in had shut its doors to customers late
last year. Although it was still accepting customers throughout
the beginning of this year, they were winding down and
just catering for bookings they received over Internet
in 2007. Well, we are pleased to announce it is under
new management. Like everywhere else on the strip, plans
are for refurbishment, but for the time being, there's
a rebirth of old school KSR! Click here for more on Nana
Plaza Inn.
